Of the five traits that define a culture, Belief is the most critical in connecting people to purpose. If people believe in the destination, they will do something every day to get you there. They’ll use their gifts and talents to their fullest and they will move the ball down the court for your organizations.
Why? Because action always follows belief. You know what people believe by what they do and how they allot their resources (time, money, etc.).
That is good for your organization and it’s good for your people. It’s where true fulfillment lies.
Do you value your people for who they are and not just for what they can do for you?
Do you really know what they believe?
Have you helped them connect what they believe to the agreed-upon purpose of your organizations?
